I was the instructor of a workshop for MFA students in the Art & Technology Studies, Sound Practices (ATSP), and Fashion Design departments at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The workshop was titled Crafting the Future of Wearables: Arduino & Physical Computing for E-Textiles.
Date: Spring 2025
Location: School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Maclean Room 423
In this workshop, I introduced students to Arduino Uno as a tool for physical computing in e-textiles, focusing on sensor integration, soft circuits, and interactive design. Through hands-on demonstrations and real-world applications, students explored sensing systems, actuators, and textile-based interfaces, gaining essential skills for developing responsive and sustainable e-textile innovations.
